Each year Adelaide's theatres offer world class productions, and the city hosts regular performing arts festivals. For example, Adelaide is one of the few cities to regularly hold Wagner's Ring Cycle which attracts visitors from all over the world. Another renowned international event is the Adelaide Festival of Arts which is held every 2 years (next one 2008). The Adelaide Fringe Festival because of its popularity with locals as well as interstate and international visitors has become an annual event (next one 2007). WOMADelaide (WOMAD stands for the World of Music, Arts & Dance) is another annual event attracting visitors from around Australia and overseas.
